The nomad bubble. Best coffee and coworking density in the city, and you'll go a week without hearing Portuguese. Fine if that's what you want. Just don't pretend you're 'living like a local.'
Anjos / Arroios
Where locals still outnumber laptops, ten minutes from everything, none of the Instagram gloss. This is where we'd actually rent.
Alfama
Postcard-pretty and tourist-dense. Gorgeous for a walk, exhausting to live in. Your Airbnb neighbors will resent you by week two.
Cais do Sodré / Santos
River views and nightlife on your doorstep. Rent reflects it. Good for six weeks, expensive for six months.
